BANTLEON SUPPORTS HUMEDICA ACTIVITIES IN EARTHQUAKE ZONE

On the morning of February 6, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck the border region of Turkey and Syria, followed by numerous aftershocks, some of them strong. More than 50,000 people died and tens of thousands were injured. Countless people were left homeless. Many of them are living in temporary emergency shelters. Most are mourning the loss of relatives or friends. Due to difficult hygienic conditions, diseases are threatening to spread.

Humedica e.V., Kaufbeuren is involved in various activities to meet the needs of the local people. At times even with a 7-member medical team directly on site to care for injured people. Daily up to 80 patients. Furthermore, important relief supplies such as blankets, clothing, tents and water filters are needed and brought to the affected areas by relief transports. Further help will be needed in the coming weeks and months to accompany the reconstruction after the acute aid.
