*The TBN describes the ability of an engine oil to neutralize acidic combustion products. From a value of >12, “poor fuels” such as ship and harbor diesel, etc. or diesel with high sulfur contents can also be used. Diesel fuels according to EN 590 are low in sulfur.

High-performance hydraulic oils based on PAO (polyalphaolefins) represent cutting-edge technologies in the development of low-friction oils, high-tech synthetic products and environmentally friendly hydraulic oils. These ash-free, biodegradable hydraulic oils offer excellent viscosity-temperature behaviour and are suitable for use in, amongst other things, the construction, agricultural and forestry sectors, in recycling, snow grooming and rail vehicles, in safety and protection systems, as well as in lock, sewage treatment and weir facilities.

Gear oils
The BANTLEON gear oil portfolio is diverse and offers solutions for all application ranges. Whether drives or small/large gears: you’ll find the right gear oil for any stationary or mobile application with us. The correct grade is selected or recommended on the basis of the operating conditions, such as the gear unit type, temperature range or the environmental requirements, as well as the stipulations of the machine manufacturer.
When mineral oils reach their limits, this is where synthetic gear oils come into play. In comparison with mineral oils, they can cover a larger temperature range. This in turn leads to better start-up behaviour at low temperatures, as well as constant viscosity-temperature behaviour. The year-round usage made possible in this way also reduces the costs associated with maintenance and downtimes.

Coolants
Cooling or heating systems not only rely on thermal energy being efficiently transported but also on the system being effectively protected, even at high temperatures. Alongside effective protection from frost, cavitation and corrosion, this also prevents premature boiling and formation of deposits. While the main objective with engines is to prevent overheating, the focus with other systems (such as heating and cooling systems) is on transporting the heat to where it is needed with as few losses as possible. Greases

Yes, there are environmentally friendly lubricants that have been specially developed for heavy machinery to reduce environmental impact whilst ensuring effective lubrication. These environmentally friendly lubricants are often referred to as biodegradable lubricants. PAO- or ester-based lubricants are used for this purpose.

A biodegradable lubricant (bio-oil) is essentially defined by three characteristics:
- Biodegradability in accordance with a recognised test method (e.g. OECD 301 or CEC-L-103-12).
- This type of lubricant must not have any ecotoxic effects on the environment.
- And it must be classified as water hazard class 1 or lower.
