Our expertise has a tradition
BANTLEON was founded about 100 years ago. In the early years, it primarily produced leather, hoof and cart greases, cooking oil and wash powder. Today, the activities of the internationally operating Hermann Bantleon GmbH focus on the fields of lubricants, cleaning and corrosion protection, as well as on integrated services for process optimization.

1918
The company is founded by Hermann Bantleon and Richard Umbach.
1940
Richard Umbach leaves the company. Hermann Bantleon rebuilds the destroyed company after the war and sets the course for the production of industrial products.
1950
Joining the AVIA group results in dynamic development of the company: BANTLEON starts producing special greases, corrosion inhibitors, formwork and separation oils as well as cutting and grinding oils for the metal processing industry.
1960
BANTLEON continues to expand its portfolio of products and services.
1990
A subsidiary is founded in Crimmitschau. The company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 14001.
2000
Capacities expanded with the new building and expansion of a company research and development laboratory.
2006
A new logistics center is build at Lehrer Feld.
2007
The laboratory is expanded and a new high volume production facility is build at the Blaubeurer Straße location.
2008
The quality label "Systematic Safety" is implemented and the laboratory is accredited according to ISO/EC 17025.
2009
The logistics center is expanded and a new tank storage facility is build at the Lehrer Feld location.
2012
A new production plant for water-soluble cooling lubricants is put into operation at the Lehrer Feld location. ISO 26000 (social responsibility) is implemented.
2014
A new tank storage facility for fuels and heating oils is build at the Lehrer Feld location.
2015
The high-level tanks are dismantled.
2016
A new administration and training building is build.
2018
BANTLEON celebrates its 100 years anniversary.
2019
BANTLEON continues to grow and is expanding the Ulm-Nord production warehouse.
2022
An era comes to an end. A new one begins. Change of Managing Director at BANTLEON. Heribert Großmann retires and his successor Dr. Alexander German takes over.
2024
Ground-breaking ceremony for the new Ulm-Nord site. Completion is planned for 2024.
