Clean components are the foundation for quality, process reliability, and customer satisfaction. Together with IQM Oberflächentechnik GmbH, we have demonstrated how demanding requirements in surface technology can be implemented in a holistic and sustainable way – from machining to component cleaning to secure VCI packaging.
The core objective of the project was to ensure component cleanliness while aligning all process steps seamlessly. Immediately after vibratory finishing, precisely formulated cleaning media reliably remove residual contamination. Subsequent residual dirt analyses in a cleanroom environment verify that all required quality standards are met – ensuring long-term cleanliness and maximum process security.
A particular challenge was the commissioning of a new cleaning system. The goal was to identify a cleaning medium that could be used across all alloys processed by IQM, while consistently delivering high-quality results.

Cleaning, corrosion protection, and packaging were treated as one integrated system, precisely tailored to IQM’s requirements – for consistently clean parts, secure processes, and maximum quality right through to delivery.
